Special Care Dentistry Association Announces 2010 Board of Directors CHICAGO – Special Care Dentistry Association (SCDA) has announced its 2009-2010 Board of Directors, effective May 1, 2009.

Leading the SCDA Board as President is Judith Messura, DMD, FAAHD, DABSCD. Messura has been a SCDA Board member since 2005; this is her first term as President. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, she later earned her DMD from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry. Since 1993, she has served as Assistant Professor, Director of Resident Education at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Department of Dentistry, in North Carolina.

In 1998, she became Director of Hospital Dentistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Messura also practices as a General Dentist at University Dental Associates.

The 2010 SCDA Board of Directors Officers includes: Janet Yellowitz, DMD, MPH, FASGD, DABSCD (Immediate Past President); Kevin T. Hendler, DDS, FASGD, DABSCD (Presidentelect); Dr. L. Stanley Brysh, FAAHD, DABSCD (Vice President); Kenneth M. Fedor, DDS, MS (Treasurer); Maureen M. Romer, DDS, MPA, FADPD, DABSCD (Secretary); and Kaye Englebrecht, CAE (Executive Director).
